Digitization Begins…

Very happy today to take the first batch of Splinters video from the ACT Heritage Library   for archival preservation and digitization at DamSmart in Mitchell – a very highly regarded team who do a lot of outsourced work for the National Film and Sound Archive.  We’ve chosen the most important tapes, including that from the very earliest days but also camera tapes and edited work from the later big productions including Cathedral of Flesh, The Oracle, Utopia/Dystopia, Faust and Autogeddon. Can’t wait to see it all!

Having the material in digital form will enable us to progress to the next stages of making a documentary, editing complete shows, and ultimately making as much of it available online for people to respond to and to make a tool for study by drama students.
